Hansel & Gretel

July 13-18  with a Saturday performance at 1pm
Practice Time 1-2:30

Abandoned by their parents, two children must keep their wits about them to survive not only the forest they are lost in, but a wicked witch's menu that includes "boy" and "girl."

*more parts for boys

Read it online here.

What to expect:
Please read the fairy tale to your children that they will be performing before the first day. Links are found after each description. This will help them understand their character and the storyline and not feel confused in what should be a relaxed, fun experience.

Each child should bring a water bottle and clothing (including shoes) they can get
NON-WASHABLE PAINT on EACH day of practice. (No one will think twice if your child wears the same paint outfit each day.) Coming on time is imperative as we use each minute to prepare. Each practice is 90 minutes, completely outdoors.

Parents are welcome to stay for any practice.Younger siblings are welcome to stay with parents as well, there is a school playground and bathrooms nearby.

Children are responsible for their own costumes. Generally, the costumes are simple and many will be made during practice out of cardboard.

There is a fee for lost scripts. We only have 5 practices to prepare for the play. The plays are short and familiar, so it is easy for most children to learn their parts.  They can bring their scripts home anytime they like as long as they are brought back the next day. .
